Barn Wood Candle Company was born out of my passion for beautiful, fragrant candles and my love for simple and clean farmhouse decor. I have been able to create a product that supports farmers right here in the Midwest by using 100% Midwest-sourced soy and beeswax. I sell the Smiley's Campfire Wick, a premier fire-starting product made and distributed by Smiley Camping. It is hand-made with soy wax, a renewable resource, grown in the US and is eco friendly. The wax is contained in a double 1 oz paper cup. The double cup prevents premature wall breakthrough that would allow the wax to escape containment, diminishing the effectiveness of the product. A healthy amount of post-consumer paper shred is blended into the way. Each paper shred acts as a wick, burning and absorbing the wax to burn intensely to ignite the surrounding bio-fuel, be it wood logs, charcoal, fuel pellets, almost anything. It comes in various forms as singles in a wire basket for your counter for customers to buy as a single or in 6 or 12 pack format. They can be packaged in a plastic bag or container depending on how you decide to display the product.
