Growing a business requires boatloads of energy and stamina, so I launched Indie Business Fit Club to encourage our Indie Business Network members to remain as physically fit as possible through regular movement and exercise. To that end, I'm excited to announce our 5K-A-Day October Steps Challenge!
Makers are generally physically active while they are making products. However, since much of entrepreneurship these days requires blocks of focus in a still or seated position, intentional physical movement and activity often falls by the wayside.
Hosted in collaboration with IBN's Health and Fitness Coach, Teri Lang Patterson of Body Systems, the 5K-A-Day Challenge is designed to provide IBN members with the incentive, support, and accountability they need to be as active as possible.
The 5K-A-Day Challenge lasts all month, and simply requires that you take a minimum of 5,000 steps a day. The steps can be calculated by walking, running, biking, swimming, or any activity that can translate into the 5,000 step minimum.
The challenge is being hosted in our private member entrepreneurial discussion group. If you are a member and are not participating there, you can join by following the instructions here. If you are not a member of the Indie Business network, what are you waiting for? You can grow you business in a supportive community, get entrepreneurial mentoring and training, and enjoy fitness accountability coaching like this. Join today!
