According to the Organic Trade Association, in 2009, US sales of organic products grew grew by to $26.6 billion. Of that figure, $24.8 billion represented organic food. The remaining $1.8 billion were sales of organic non-foods, including cosmetics. As the founder and CEO of the Indie Beauty Network, a trade organization serving small scale cosmetics manufacturers, this statistic is of considerable interest to me and my members. You purchase cosmetics, yes? Does organic matter to you? Let me know by voting. Feel free to expand on your answer in the comments section.
