I am thrilled to share that I will be speaking at “Farm to Market: 21st Century Practices For The Modern Herbal Entrepreneur” in Asheville, North Carolina, on September 20, 2014. As you may know, I serve on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Natural Products Association. I am also a member of the American Herbalists Guild. The two organizations, which are aimed at serving the needs of “farm to market” ventures, are collaborating next month on this exclusive, one-time event, and I am looking forward to being a part of it.
Our target audience is any and all entrepreneurs who make and/or grow the products they sell. This includes micro-farms, Makers and Handmade Entrepreneurs and any one thinking about building a business that incorporates herbs and other produce. The featured speaker for the day will be Susan Leopold PhD, Executive Director of United Plant Savers. Click here to register.
My talk is entitled: “Spinning the Web: Effective Online Marketing.” Other speakers and topics include: Mimi Hernandez, Executive Director of the American Herbalists Guild (Vocational Empowerment for Herbalists), Ed Fletcher of Strategic Sourcing (Cut Down & Dried Up: Proper Harvesting Techniques) and Jeannie Dunn of Red Moon Herbs (All Bottled Up: Tincture-Making).
Here are date and venue details:
Date: Saturday, September 20, 2014
Time: 9am to 5pm
Venue: Haynes Conference Center at AB Tech – Enka
1465 Sandhill Rd.,
Candler, North Carolina 28715
By the way, the Early Bird price for this event is really criminal at just $30 until September 1. It goes up after that, but not enough if you ask me. If you have an herb-related business and you are going to be anywhere at all near Asheville on September 20, I suggest you be there.
I cannot wait to see you!
Best and Success!
