Last week, I announced a contest for two people to win a free download of IBN member Bramble Berry's new soapmaking iPhone app. All that was necessary was to share a favorite business tip. Out of the entries two names were drawn: Charlene and Renee! Congratulations to both of you ladies!! Even though there could only be two winners, all participants submitted great business building tips.
Here are the tips submitted by the winners. Charlene suggested that Indies self-motivate by picturing ourselves doing what we love dearly, and not being in a cubicle with the threat of losing a job in this awful economy. Renee offered two tips. First, when you think you can't stand anymore and you are pulling your hair out, take a deep breath and “stand.” (In a sort of “you can't beat me” way.) Second, Renee shared a favorite Scripture verse that she says motivates her: “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.” (From Hebrews 11:1).
