Today was one of the rare days where I preempted my radio show so I could capitalize on a difference kind of opportunity. I spoke on leadership at the 2010 Social Media Telesummit, hosted by Leesa Barnes. This was a virtual event featuring some of the leading names in social media. I enjoyed sharing with Leesa's audience many of the leadership strategies I have picked up other the years as IBN's president. I think Leesa is planning to make available the audio recordings of all of the speaker presentations. If she does, I'll link to them for you here at the blog.
As I do every Monday, I published my newsletter today too. You can get the whole issue here. This week's issue features IBN member Lorrie Beach (pictured above with a collage of her handmade soaps) of Canterbury Cabin in Greene, NY. Lorrie shared the fun story of how she first started making soap. She also shared her best tips for running a successful business, including things she did to increase her sales by 33% last year! Click here for the direct link to the part of the newsletter the features Lorrie and her growing business. There are also some great tips to help you spruce up your FaceBook Fan Page. If you're not subscribed to my newsletter, you can subscribe here.
I didn't get as much done today as I wanted to because I had to take my MacBook Pro to the Apple store so they could perform a data transfer from my laptop. The good news is that it will be completed by 6:00 tomorrow evening! I am very excited that all of the data I need will be located in one place, and can be synced to my iPhone, which is a wonderful productivity tool for me. I'll still be using my laptop for a few things, but after tomorrow 80% of everything I do will be done on an Apple product. That makes me happy.
Question: What did you do today? What are your big plans for the week?
