Find Indie Makers has been replaced by IBN's official Member Directory.
I am pleased to announce the launch of Find Indie Makers, a new website that helps you find and buy the locally made artisanal and handmade products you love so much! Find Indie Makers is a showplace for the products and services produced and offered by Indie Business Network from members across North America! For your convenience, Find Indie Makers is mobile ready and designed to help you find products quickly and easily using category, location and keyword options. Check it out by clicking on the graphic below!
As you can see, there is a “Register” link at the upper right of the home page so you can create an account that will make it easy for you to stay in touch with your favorite Indie Makers. You can also share using easy share buttons, and write comments and show some love for their products and services. Here are some of the other site features that make it fun for you to visit!
Find What You Are Looking For: Browse Maker Types
As you can see from the graphic below, the home page features image links to help you see listings based on four types of products or services:
(1) Handmade Products
(2) Retail Stores
(3) Ingredients and Supplies
(4) Professional and Consulting Services
You can also Browse Maker Types using the navigation bars at the top of the page.
These easy options help you find what you are looking for quickly. More Makers are being added daily so be sure to check back to see what's new.
Find What You Are Looking For: Browse Maker Categories
If the above “Type” option delivers results that are too broad, you can use the top navigation Browse Maker Categories link to drill down to precisely what you are looking for by using the Category option, including
(1) Men's Grooming
(2) Hair
(3) Home Decor (including candles)
(4) Jewelry
(5) Color Cosmetics
(6) Artisan Perfume
… and so many more!

These easy options help you drill down to something very specific. More Makers are being added to categories all the time, so be sure to check back to see what's new.
See the Newest Additions
The Find Indie Makers home page also showcases new additions as they come on board, so if you return to the site regularly, you never have to search far to discover new things.

Robust Geo-Locator
Our new site is equipped with a robust geo-location tool that helps you pinpoint exactly where a particular member's retail store or farmer's market is located.
If you are visiting a particular city, you can use the search bar at the top of the home page to see what Makers are there so you can visit their stores or markets and buy their products in person!
Follow on Instagram
At the bottom of each page at the site, you'll notice a lovely Instagram scrolling feature that showcases our member products and services. If you click on any of them, you'll go straight to Instagram so you can follow. Click the link in a member bio to see how to purchase their products and services.
Not only is it fun to look at, it is also fun to use and share!

This is only the beginning! We are in the process of updating the site and making it even better.
You will soon be treated to opportunities to connect with Makers one-on-one via our site, so you can meet them and buy their products in a fun and engaging way that makes the best use of easy to use new technologies. We'll have another announcement soon.
As with all new sites, there are bound to be a few wonky issues. We tried t address all of them in advance, but if we missed anything, let us know by sending a note through our Contact Page. We'd love to hear feedback from you about what you like about the new site and how we can improve it.
