The holiday are in full swing and it's time to introduce you to more of the Indies featured in IBN's 2012 Holiday Gift Guide. I continue to be so proud to introduce you to some of the nation's most amazing small business owners … people who are making massive contributions to their local economies and keeping the American manufacturing engine running on all cylinders.
Today, I'm pleased to introduce Pooka Pure and Simple in New Jersey, Anatmony Naturals in Pennsylvania and Roo Ranch in California.
Owned by Dawn Fitch – IBN’s resident Black Enterprise Magazine cover girl (March 2012) – Pooka Pure and Simple makes body and hair care products. Based in Orange, NJ, Pooka’s mantra is “Something Good for your Skin to Eat.” Products include body oils, shower gels, elbow grease, body butters, whipped cream, feet/hand deodorant, hair care, body mist, body polish and lip items. They also operate the Pooka Spa, right next to the manufacturing warehouse.
Anatomy Naturals in State College, PA, is owned and operated by Kelly Green. They make gourmet skin care in small batches. Their products are gluten-free, vegetarian, and cruelty-free. Products include body scrub, facial care, moisturizers, bath salts, gourmet gifts, natural baby items and lip balm.
Based in Elverta, CA, Roo Ranch specializes in creating handcrafted soap and lotion using goat’s milk. Goat’s milk contains natural emollients, vitamins and triglycerides that are moisturizing to the skin. Owner Starla Ledbetter creates artisan soap that is nourishing to the skin, pleasing to the eye, and lightly scented for a unique bathing experience.
Starla will be joining us in a few months on #IndieCrusie MasterMind 2013!
