We are trying out a new format for the July 2012 edition of #HandmadeChat. Rather than having a guest “speaker” on our weekly topics, we will have a guest “facilitator.” I will introduce the facilitator and the topic.
The facilitator will then lead the discussion, inviting anyone with something to share to join in and offer their unique perspective, commentary, and input. Some of the topics for July were taken directly from our #HandmadeChat Survey, which you can fill out if you have not done so already. Here are the topics for July 2012.
July 5: LaShonda Tyree: Creating Content For Your Blog and Newsletter
La Shonda will lead this discussion designed to inspire new ideas for your publications, so can attract more of the right kind of people to your website.
July 12: Mary Humphrey: Organizing Your Day For Maximum Productivity
Everyone has horror stories and successes where this topic is concerned, and we'll discuss the best of both — and solutions to help you have more success than horror.
July 19: Alyssa Middleton: Getting Things Done With Young Children Around
If you have children, or you or your partner are pregnant, or thinking about having a child, this one is for you. What's it really like to fun a business from home as a parent, and what can you do to be a good parent and a good business manager — without compromising either?
July 26: Melissa Rivera: Attracting Companies To Sponsor Your Website
It sounds easy and lucrative to have people pay you to blog or manage your website. This discussion will help you ask the right questions before the idea of sponsors coming out of the woodwork leads you down a rabbit hole.
