Hi everyone, Donna Maria here! If you've already heard about the Indie Business Book Club, and you're ready to join, you can do so now at this link!
The Indie Business Book Club is designed for shared reading, growth, and progress in our businesses and in our lives. As the lead facilitator, I will work with our book club leader to hold each other (and that includes me) accountable to not only read, but to take action and push the ball forward.
Indie Business Book Club Format
We meet virtually in a private Facebook community.
We meet in a private community so we can truly let our hair down and discuss personal applications as we learn and grow together. We use written discussions and live video.
We read one book every two months.
By the 15th of the month when we are finishing up a book, the next book will be announced and everyone will have plenty of time to purchase it.
Reading schedule and resources.
For each book, I’ll post a suggested reading schedule in the private Facebook community, and reading prompts and questions for discussion will be added to the community discussion area. When available, author downloads and worksheets will be added to the Files tab in the Facebook community.
Discussion.
The book club leader will lead discussions and post questions designed to facilitate learning, growth, and implementation of the principles and ideas contained in the book.
Live book club meetings.
Every two weeks, we gather for a live video book discussion to share our insights and progress based on the month’s reading and learning. It will be so much fun!
Members will be encouraged to challenge the author's conclusions or methods, and also to challenge each other to implement what we learn and make it visible in their lives. This is where the accountability and growth comes in. This is where the real action is!
Social sharing.
If you'd like, you can share what you are learning and doing using the #indiebookclub hash tag on Twitter and Instagram. You can also write blog posts and share them in the community so we can share your posts with our friends to help boost traffic and visibility for your business.
Blogging and Tweeting what you learn and do is a super way to encourage your clients and customers, and to build your own leadership skills.
