Indie Business Tips Round Up [Video]: March 16-20, 2015

Iam having a great week of traveling. After a wonderful Mastermind meeting on the west coast on Monday, I flew to Kansas City Tuesday to join soapmakers for the last Central Soapers Workshop. Today, I was honored to speak on the topic of leadership, and tomorrow, I'll speak on the topic of content creation for small business owners.

The accommodations are very comfortable here, and I'm having a super time meeting new soapmaking friends and rekindling relationships with old ones. Thanks to our member, Kenna Cote of Modern Soapmaking, for a wonderful event, and for inviting me to speak! I posted tons of pictures on Instagram and on my personal Facebook profile page. This one is my favorite. Here are this week's 15-second Indie Business Tips episodes!

Monday, March 16, 2015: Authenticity is a competitive advantage

Let your personality shine through. Be real. Being who you are will naturally help you sell your products. Remember: authenticity is a competitive advantage.

Tuesday, March 17, 2015: To achieve big, aim small

People who achieve remarkable results in business have a very keen sense of priority. They know exactly who they are trying to serve, and it is NOT everyone. Remember: to achieve big, you've got to aim small.

Wednesday, March 18, 2015: Your “try” must surpass your “why”

It's not enough to have a strong sense of purpose. Yes! Your “why” is important, but it means little if it is not supported by some seriously back breaking hustle. Remember: your try must surpass your why!

Thursday, March 19, 2015: Stay in the driver's seat

Think of your business as a car. You are the driver. The car will go forward when you hit the gas. It will stop when you hit the brake. Don't let your business drive you. YOU drive your business.

Friday, March 20, 2015: Refresh yourself!

Entrepreneurship is all consuming, all day, every day. Schedule time off, even if it's a few hours a week, to refresh yourself. You deserve it!!
