The Indie Business Network is composed of hundreds of very powerful creators, from all walks of life and representing all 50 states. Whether they're enjoying a fun retail gift show, a well-deserved media feature, or hanging out together at a maker show, our members are always focused on making awesome products for their adoring fans. I love bringing you their inspiring stories and achievements.
Last week, we brought you makers who are moving and shaking in Georgia, and California. If you missed them, you can catch them here. This week, we bring you powerful creative energy from and Pennsylvania, California and North Carolina. See anyone you know?
A Warehouse in Pennsylvania
Until last month, Kelley Maddison of Priia Cosmetics in Easton, Pennsylvania had a 1,200 square foot manufacturing space. It had served her well, but it was getting a little cramped. Last week, Kelley moved her business into a 5,000 square foot warehouse! Among other things, the space features production areas, personnel offices, an employee break room, a conference room, and more. Here's the delivery area, featuring Kelley visible in the reflection.
If you need acne-safe mineral cosmetics made by a professional esthetician, Kelley is your girl and Priia is your brand.
West Elm Pop Up in California!
Hilary Goldman of A Slice of Delight in Berkeley, California was one of three local Makers invited to participate in a West Elm Pop-Up earlier this month. Here she is pictured with her products at the home accessories store that hosted the pop-up.
I had a chance to meet and mastermind with Hilary Goldman of A Slice of Delight in Berkeley, California, at Maker Mastermind Live in San Francisco last year. Hilary is cheerful and fun to be around. She's also very enthusiastic about the products she makes, super colorful soaps (and new lavender shea butter cream) which are, as the brand name says, a slice of delight. Who can get enough of that?
You can check out A Slice of Delight at this link. Summer Fling , pictured here, is one of my favorite of Hilary's soaps. It's so colorful and, well, a slice of delight indeed.
D'Shawn Russell Adds Wax Melts to Her Candle Line in North Carolina!
I have personally had the pleasure of burning several of D'Shawn's candles: Appalachian Trail, Tobacco & Vanilla, Oak Moss and Amber, and Tobacco & Caramel. I loved all of them, but my super favorite is Tobacco & Vanilla. There are so many to try, but I'm excited to see that she had added wax melts to the line. We now have the option enjoy Southern Elegance flameless!
Check out all of D'Shawn's candles at the Southern Elegance Candle Company website, and get my favorite (for now), the Tobacco & Vanilla, here.
