When we began serving handmade entrepreneurs in 2000, the handmade beauty industry hadn’t fully formed yet. It's always growing and shifting of course, and Indie Business continues to shift and grow with it. You, our members, have become stronger and more sophisticated over the years, and this new website allows us to serve you better.
- Our new site embeds both the private Indie Business Members Only area and the public Indie Business social networking site into a single location so you can connect, grow, and find what you are looking for
- Our Local Groups are expanding into cities nationwide to strengthen and empower our members and their communities on a local level
- Our Events Calendar is always overflowing with classes, meetups, webinars, teleseminars, podcasts and more, so you can continuously stretch yourself and connect with the people who can help you be successful
- In addition to traditional cosmetics and “beauty” products, many of our members are expanding to offer everything from candles and jewelry to baked goods
- Our members also offer services and information products to complement the traditional beauty products they and others offer, creating a breeding ground for collaboration and growth in all sectors of the artisan entrepreneur arena
- In addition to coverage for cosmetics, our product liability insurance program is expanding to include coverage for companies that offer things like massage therapy and esthetic services
- As always, keep you informed in the legislative arena, so you can participate in the legislative process in areas that could affect your livelihood
