It was beautiful in Charlotte this afternoon! At around 6:00, the weather was perfect for a late afternoon run. It was 80ºF with a breeze. That felt great, but it was strong enough to slow me down a bit when I was running into it. Still, I was excited to be outside running as my son and his pal tossed the football around the soccer field.
I am listening to lots of experienced runners who are encouraging me to listen to my body when it comes to running frequency. Thanks to everyone who is giving me tips, especially Laura McClain, Allison Kontour, Anne-Marie Faiola, and Maggie Keenan. I am grateful to all of the people who have joined me using the #FitCEOs hashtag to share their workouts too, as well as those who join me on WorkOut Wednesday at the FaceBook Page. Here are today's stats:

- Average Pace. 15:39 minutes/mile
- Playlist. Just my footsteps and the sounds of happy people hanging out in the sunshine. Best playlist ever, yes?

Condition. Great, except I do have a teensy complaint. I was wearing my neon pink spandex (don't laugh) running shorts, and I ran a hole in the inner thigh right in the middle of my run. Needless to say, the irritation was a bit of a pain. I had to stop a few times to twist them around so the hole was to the back of my leg. Those shorts are over a decade old. It was time to trash them anyway.
Question: Have you ever run a hole in your shorts in the middle a run? It hurts! What is your favorite brand of running shorts?
