As you know, I'm rolling out an exciting new opportunity for my IBN members to connect with other INDIEs in their local area, and to help them take advantage of my extensive only media presence. So far, I've announced Local Directors in Los Angeles and also in Northern New Jersey, Portland, Or, and Boston. Today, I'm thrilled to introduce you to Khadija Dawn Carryl, IBN's Local Director in Baltimore!
Looking at the photo, I wonder if you are as blown away as I am by Khadija's beautiful talent as a henna artist, and by those gorgeous blue eyes. Khadija joined IBN earlier this year, and I felt an instant connection with her. She's wholly devoted to her work to empower women by helping them enjoy handmade soaps and cosmetics and by using henna to encourage their natural femininity and beauty, both inside and out. I asked Khadija to share a few words about what she hopes to experience as IBN's Baltimore Director. Here's what she said:
I am so excited to be part of IBN's amazing team! IBN has helped me grow as a person, business, and friend. It's really helped me see things from different perspectives, and they make you feel completely welcomed!
Every step of the way, I feel like I'm not just “some member.” I feel like I am part of a team, and a group of people who want the best for each other, and are there to support and encourage each other all the way. Having this opportunity will allow me to educate others, which I am passionate about, and will in turn educate me.”
You can read more about IBN's Local Director Program here. I will announce additional Local Directors as they are added in the coming months. For now, join me in welcoming Khadija. You can connect with her at Henna Sooq's soon-to-relaunch website, blog, and on Twitter at here.
