I‘m continuing to roll out an exciting new opportunity for my IBN members to connect with other INDIEs in their local area, and to help them take advantage of my extensive online media presence. So far, I've announced Local Directors in Louisville, Baltimore, Los Angeles and also in Northern New Jersey, Portland, Or, and Boston. Today, I'm thrilled to introduce you to Melissa Rivera, IBN's Local Director in New York City!
Melissa, who lives in Astoria, has been a member of IBN since December 2010. I remember the day she joined, and how she jumped in with both feet — announcing her excitement at joining IBN and getting to know as many people as possible. Melissa is a mom and a very talented soapmaker. (Love her Lemongrass soap!) I asked Melissa to share a few words about what she hopes to experience as IBN's NYC Director. Here's what she said:
I am excited for this opportunity to be the IBN Regional Director of NYC. Being a member of IBN has been an amazing experience for me. There is so much support, education and knowledge by the fellow members. There is always something new to learn, and it's a great place to share thoughts and receive feedback. My confidence in growing Naturally Good Soaps, LLC has been sparked and supported by IBN, I hope to be able to bring the NCY Indie Community together to network in person and share, and ultimately to have fun!
