The Indie Business Network offers a valuable and transformative entrepreneurial experience. As its leader, I recognize that not everyone has the resources to access IBN's array of entrepreneurial mentoring, coaching, and training services, especially when they are first starting out. To help offset the challenge for as many as possible, each quarter, we offer a scholarship for a year of membership and private one-on-one coaching with me. I'm excited to introduce you to Jori Miller of EssenceOfRiri in Durham, North Carolina, our 4Q 2020 scholarship recipient.
Through her business, Jori makes mainly body butter and lip scrubs. I sat down with Jori for a few minutes to get more of an idea about her business, her entrepreneurial dreams, and how she plans to leverage her Indie Business Network member scholarship.
Q: What does winning IBN's Scholarship Year mean to you?
I'm off to a good start, but I know that there is so much more to learn. I already know what I would like my next products to be and where I ultimately want to go, but I'm unsure of the next steps I need to get there. IBN will help me gain more insight and help me go in the right direction. Being awarded this scholarship will allow me to achieve my goals results faster.
Q: What are your goals for your business?
A: Jori says …
I truly love being an entrepreneur. My plans include making party favors and getting into the wholesale market. My best selling product is body butter and I think growing that product will be a big part of the direction I'll eventually go in. I know that I will make great progress in my business during then next 12 months.
