Recently, I've introduced you to over a dozen IBN members who are now serving as IBN's Local Directors across the nation. I hope you are enjoying these glimpses into small business life in other cities. So far, I've introduced you to the new IBN leaders in Gatlinburg, State College, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, New York City, Louisville, Baltimore, Los Angeles and also in Northern New Jersey, Portland, Or, and Boston.
Today, I'm thrilled to welcome Lori Nova, CEO of The Nova Studio, IBN's new Local Director in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lori is pictured here at one of The Nova Studio's anniversary parties — she's hosted 8 so far! Lori has been a member of IBN since 2006. At The Nova Studio, Lori offers classes on how to make so many wonderful things, including soap, mineral makeup, hydrosols, and eco-friendly cleaning products — and how to market those products to make money in your small business. I asked Lori to share a few words about what she hopes to experience as IBN's San Francisco Bay Area Director. Here's what she said:
“I am SO excited to be joining the IBN as a Local Director for the San Francisco Bay Area. As a proud member of the IBN for the past 5 years (since May 2006), I have had the opportunity to collaborate with Donna Maria on several projects. She has inspired me and dozens of my students and whenever she is present, you can feel the magic in the room.
I love meeting with new people and sharing things I've learned in my eight years as owner of The Nova Studio. I look forward to getting together with other entrepreneurs and providing a space for us to inspire & support each other on our journey to personal and professional success. I feel fortunate to be involved in this project. My goal is to provide a supportive, low-stress, environment for brainstorming and problem-solving. When we put our heads together, there's no telling what great things will happen next.”
