Last night's #HandmadeChat topic was the How To Integrate Your Blog And Twitter To Boost Your Business. My guest was Cathy Larkin, CEO of Web Savvy PR, a veteran PR and internet marketing strategist.
Cathy and I led a lively discussion that included some of the best tips and ideas for connecting your blog and Twitter to advance your business goals. Here is an overview of some of the ideas and important questions we asked and answered, a link to the transcript, and some actions you can take right now to turn your knowledge into power for the benefit of your business.
- Auto-posting may be efficient, but …. I shared a link to a post about the drawbacks to auto-posting your blog to FaceBook. Even though #HandamdeChat focused on Twitter last night, my guess is the same kind of negative effects can result from auto-posts to Twitter.
- Reasons to Tweet. So many handmade and micr-business owners focus almost exclusively on FaceBook because there are so many active consumers there. That's great, and if your customers are on FaceBook, you should be there too. But last night, several people Tweeted how investing in Twitter has benefited their business.
- Twitter rocks! This transcript is rich with inspiration for you. You'll learn how other small business owners use it to get ideas for blog posts, find out what their customers are thinking about, honing your niche and so much more.
