A Registered Trademark in South Carolina
Rolande Sumner of Butter Angels in Powdersville, South Carolina, has registered her brand as a federal trademark.
That may not seem like a very big deal, but what it means is that no one can use her brand to identify their products and services. Preventing people from doing this in today's increasingly crowded world of everyone-is-an-entrepreneur is very important, and kudos to Rolande for investing in her brand in this way.

Improved Health in North Carolina
Recently, Jennifer Waller of Celtic Complexion in North Carolina was featured in a Prevention Magazine.com article about improved health for women over 40. Jennifer has lost nearly 50 pounds over the past few years. As a result, not only is she happier and more energetic on a personal level, but she also has more energy to put toward her business ventures, including her luxury artisan skincare brand and a new wellness retreat brand she is developing.
The tip Jennifer shared in the article is a super good one, and it applies to many different things in life. It boils down to lot letting too many cooks in your kitchen. If you're trying to implement weight loss or wellness tips from a million different gurus on Facebook, you'll be entirely too distracted to do much of anything at all. Jennifer says, “Pick a plan and stick with it.”
