I am pleased to announce the transfer of Indie Business Blog from Typepad to WordPress!
Since launching my first blog in 2005 on a Movable Type, I have launched this blog and this one, each on a different platform, in an effort to select the one that I felt would most appeal to you.
I settled on WordPress because it offered hundreds of themes and plugins so I can easily and quickly make the blog more interesting and fun.
For the next few weeks, things will be in a state of transition. For example, because Typepad only allows customers to export blog text, you will notice a lot of blank spaces where photosgraphs and graphics once were. Thank you for being patient while the photos are added.
By the way, if you are thinking about launching a blog for your small business, remember that, while Typepad is versatile and easy to use, if you ever want to export the content to a different blogging platform, they will not release the photographs to you. (As you might imagine, I have an opinion about that little policy, but I'll save it for another post.
