We are excited to introduce you to Ellen Demotses of Soul Holistic Health, our 3Q 2023 Maker Scholarship Recipient! Ellen offers small batch, hand crafted, artisan tea blends made with local organic, wild crafted ingredients.
About Ellen
In addition to her herbal business, Ellen runs a bookkeeping business. Unfortunately, many of her bookkeeping clients closed their doors during the pandemic, so Soul Holistic Health has taken priority. She recently opened a brick and mortar location and is excited to now offer herbal consultations, classes and accessories at the Shelton, Connecticut location.
Q: What does winning IBN's Scholarship Year mean to you?
Ellen says:
I feel like my business is definitely set up, but I need coaching to bring all the pieces together. It seems like there are bits and sections here and there. I need more focus and clarity and I know being a part of the Indie Business Network can provide that. Because I lost so much business during the pandemic, it will really help to have the scholarship too.
I am 100% committed to my business and am open to all the feedback and guidance I can get. I am working very hard toward success. I'm also happy to pay it back however I can when I am able.

Apply for IBN's Maker Scholarship
The Indie Business Network offers a valuable and transformative entrepreneurial experience, and we recognize that not everyone has the resources to access our suite of entrepreneurial mentoring, coaching, and training services, especially when they are first starting out. To help offset the challenge for as many as possible, each quarter, we offer a scholarship for a year of membership and private one-on-one email coaching with me.
At the Indie Business Network, we believe that every woman can provide for herself and her children because she can sell something she made with her own hands. If you have started your business, but lack the resources needed to grow, you can apply for next quarter's Maker Scholarship Award at this link.
