While it may seem like an odd choice for our book club, at nearly 100 years old, this book is regarded as a classic of personal financial advice. About George S. Clason
George S. Clason was an American author who founded the Clason Map Company, publisher of North America's first road atlas. Starting with a series of financial literacy pamphlets distributed by banks and insurance companies, Clason eventually founded the Clason Publishing Company which compiled the parables into a popular book that has stood the test of time. Clason is credited with coining the phrase, “Pay yourself first”.
