Iam pleased to announce our February 2013 Indie Business Book Club pick: The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide To Personal Freedom, by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Indie Business Book Club (now merged into our private members only Facebook group) provides a private, convenient way for IBN members to grow together in business and in life. As the facilitator, I help everyone hold each other (that includes me) accountable to not only read and learn, but also to take action on what is read and learned. Our January 2013 book was The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. Of the books considered for next month, The Four Agreements was selected by an overwhelming majority of book clubbers.
About The Four Agreements
According to the author, the book is rooted in traditional Toltec wisdom beliefs, and stands for the proposition that four specific “agreements” in life are essential steps on the path to personal freedom. As beliefs are transformed through maintaining these agreements, the author asserts, lives will “become filled with grace, peace, and unconditional love.”
I am willing to step up and explore his assertions for myself. If you'd like to join me, and you are an IBN member, you can request access to our private book club Facebook group and you'll be welcomed. (If you are not an IBN member, you can join here.)
About the Author
Don Miguel Ruiz is known as a nagual, or shaman, of the Toltec tradition. The Toltecs were an ancient group of scientists and artists that was formed to explore and preserve the practices and spiritual knowledge of the ancient ones. It is not a religion, but a way of life that embraces spirit and honors all the spiritual masters who have taught on the earth. Toltec wisdom arises from the same essential unity of truth as other sacred esoteric traditions that are found all over the world.
