If you missed my overview with pictures from our first day in Punta Cana, you can get it here. We just finished up Day 2, and it was amazing. As you may recall, our theme for this year is Refresh | Refine | Results, and you can read more about that here.
While the original plan for today was to go on excursions and crash at the spa, we did neither. We did, however, make goo on refreshing ourselves in other ways.

This is the view from the balcony of my suite at about 7am this morning.
The Meaning of “Refresh”
While several of us had grand ideas about excursions and spa on our first Refresh Day, everyone pretty much ended up at the bar and on the beach. We all work hard, and entrepreneurship takes a lot out of us. Having a chance to catch our breath in paradise before doing any scheduling or running around was a real treat for everyone. Here are some pictures from the day.
Here is IBN's Head Coach, Christine Laureano, posing with a conch after snorkeling the beautiful waters around the resort. (Don't worry … she released the conch back into the ocean right after the picture was taken.)
Below, I (pink sunglasses) am hanging out at the gorgeous semi-outdoor Indigo Bar and Restaurant, where many of us discovered (and re-discovered) the Blue Hawaii cocktail for the first time, thanks to Melody Bockelman. Left to right: Niki Wishnow of Rock the Bath Bar, me, Christine Laureano and Veronica Short.
It's a Couple Thing
While most of our Indie Cruisers “cruise” solo, some of them are accompanied by a partner. Here is one of our speakers, Andrea Hence Evans, Esq., enjoying fun at the ocean side bar with her husband, Chris.

Stay Tuned for More!!
Tomorrow is our first Mastermind Day, and I plan to share some of what we learned from our speakers!
