I am thrilled to share that our member, Marilyn Thompson of Victoria's Lavender in Newberg, Oregon, has published her first book. Entitled Live a Legacy, Leave a Legacy: Choosing to live with hope and courage in the face of Lou Gehrig's disease, the book is an intimate look at the life of Troy Thompson, Marilyn's husband, who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease at age 32, just months after they were married.
I first met Marilyn many years ago when she joined the Indie Business Network for the first time. I was amazed at her fortitude then, as she shared the story of how she started her business even though in such pain after her husband's passing. I am so proud of her for creating a book that will inspire millions to embrace life's joys and pains, and to always find a way to pay it forward — no matter how the story ends.
Connect with Marilyn at the Victoria's Lavender Facebook page, and on her Facebook author page. Buy the book here.
Congratulations on your book, Marilyn!
