Meet Our Summer 2017 Interns

I am thrilled to introduce the Indie Business Network Summer 2017 interns, my children: Vanessa Johnson and Brooks Johnson. Before I do so, let me first ask your indulgence because you will probably see this post about a million times over the next few days. As you know, I do not beat people over the head with my blog posts, but I hope you'll indulge this mamma just this once. I'm very proud of my children, and over-the-top excited to be in a position to help them learn about entrepreneurship through the Indie Business Network.

Like all parents, I take great pride in my children. Despite my shortcomings as a mother and a human being, they are maturing into amazing people with very distinct and engaging personalities. They are intelligent, smart, forward looking, and personable.

Say Hello To Vanessa!

Vanessa is a rising 10th grader. She is an award-winning equestrian, having won multiple ribbons at state competitions through national 4-H Youth Programs. She is consistently on the honor roll. She volunteers as a greeter at her church. Her hobbies include horseback riding, photography, volleyball, hanging out with her friends, and binge watching Netflix. By the end of the summer, she will also like running. Vanessa helps us welcome new and renewing members to the Indie Business Network, and helps us maintain our member directory shops.

He mows a mean lawn and does a great job taking care of Cooper, the family pet. Brooks loves anything having to do with cars (Camaros in particular). His hobbies include listening to music and making people laugh. Brooks helps us welcome new and renewing members to the Indie Business Network, and helps us maintain our member directory shops.
