Recently, I announced the open call for entries for the 2017 Indie Business Network Artisan Product of the Year Awards. Our winners will be announced soon. In the meantime, I'd like you to become acquainted with our panel of curated Influencer Judges.
Earlier this month, I introduced you to Patrice Grell Yursik, Jade Huang, Jen Moreau, and Melinda Emerson. Today, I'm pleased to announce Ally Loprete, the Entrepreneurial Cheerleader. Running into Ally, online or in person, is like bumping into a hornet's nest of energy and positivity. It just comes out in so many directions that you have no choice but to just relax in it and enjoy the ride. Here is more about Ally.
Prior to becoming a self-employed parent, Ally spent several years at ABC TV on the Disney lot. Her time there was rewarding and plentiful, but it wasn't until her first son was born that she came to realize her true calling in life. Ally's determination was fueled by her love of her children and her passion for helping others, which lead to her success as a self-made, stay-at-home mom and entrepreneur.
- Ally left an entertainment career to run a business from home.
After having her first child, she left so she could chart her own course. She launched a series of brands to empower and encourage work from home parents, which has allowed her to make a living while being available to her family in ways that would not have been possible had she remained in her traditional line of work. Such a very Indie thing to do, don't you think?
- Ally is the author of You Got This!
As a former cheerleader and current champion of parents who work from home, what better book title is there? According to the dust jacket, the book is “a permission slip to courageously and rebel against societal expectations. What a great way to describe what Makers and Handmade Entrepreneurs do every single day as they make and market the products that buck every traditional business trend on the planet? Ally gets you, and she loves supporting the amazing work Makers do.
- Ally hosts the Dramatic Impact Radio Show.
Ally's weekly radio show on iHeartRadio, Dramatic Impact, is an inspirational and informative live broadcast for people who are passionate about leadership, activism and making positive contributions to the world. Ally is bold about sharing her views on everything from parenting to politics. You may not agree with her, but there is no questioning her sincerity and heart for what she believes in.
