About Our Teacher
Our teacher is Roberta Perry.
After years of taking care of everyone else, Roberta noticed that her skin had become dry, itchy, and irritated. In 2005, at 43, after being unable to find products that did not agitate her skin, she headed for her kitchen and played like a “mad chemist” to create products for herself.
With lots of research and trial and error, she mixed up different combinations of botanical oils and sugars and came up with a winner. She brought in her late sister and together they started ScrubzBody®, in 2006, in Roberta's home.
Needing exposure for the business, but on a really tight budget, Roberta turned to Help a Reporter and began to writers and reporters. Since 2010, she has been published and quoted in over 100 skincare and business articles, blogs, and beauty magazines. In 2016, Roberta was a featured speaker on Indie Cruise and Launch Live Speakers Summit 2016. Her book, The Power of Free Publicity, was published in August 2016.
Roberta was a natural remedy segment guest of the Dr. Oz Show, which aired in 2014, as well as a food-related segment guest which aired on 2016. In 2017, the business moved to a fabulous storefront and production space in Farmingdale, New York, and became the highlighted business on the Season One finale of Sell it Like Serhant on Bravo TV.
